Professional biography:

After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, she worked as a doctor in several health institutions in Mladenovac, Belgrade, Poreč. In 1983, she began her university career as an assistant trainee at the Department of the Faculty of Medicine in Kragujevac, and then worked in various capacities at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade until 2017, when she retired as a full professor. After that, she started working as an independent consultant in the field of food and nutrition.

In addition to working with students, she also worked in the Dietetics Counseling Center with patients for whom nutritional therapy is basic or is part of the treatment at the request of other specialists.

She has published over 200 scientific papers, is the editor of the Hygiene textbook for medical students and co-author of several books for postgraduate training.

Member of professional associations:

International Association for the Study of Obesity, founder and vice president of the Yugoslav Association for Obesity YASO 1997 - 2005, and then of the Serbian Association for Obesity SASO /from 2006-/. Member of the Serbian Medical Society.
