Education
After graduating from the Faculty of Biology in Belgrade, majoring in molecular biology and physiology, she volunteered at the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", University of Belgrade.
In 2006, she started working in the laboratory for human genetics and prenatal diagnostics of Zvezdara Medical Center. She is an active member of the genetic counseling center.
In 2011, she completed specialist studies on the topic of Cytochrome P450 genetic polymorphisms and their association with Parkinson's disease.
In 2008/2009, she enrolled in doctoral studies, majoring in Neuroscience, module Neurobiology with Neuroimmunochemistry, University of Belgrade.
Dissertation topic - Association of genetic polymorphisms with motor and non-motor complications in Parkinson's disease, completed at the Military Medical Academy.
In 2012, in cooperation with the psychiatry department of Dr. Dragiša Mišović Hospital, she initiated a study of pharmacogenetics in the treatment of depression and schizophrenia. Along with the doctors of the department of psychiatry of the KCS and the hospital Dr. Dragiša Mišović, she formulated the second doctorate with the topic - Pharmacogenetic variations in the therapy of depression.
In 2015, she started the sector of molecular diagnostics in the Laboratory for Medical Biochemistry NovaMed, where she is still an expert associate.
In 2016, she worked on the development of nutrigenetics in the Aqualab laboratory
In 2018, director and founder of the GEMMO Center, the first genetic counseling center for personalized medicine.
In 2019, she enrolled in doctoral studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb
In recent years, she has been intensively working on the application of genetics in personalized medicine, in the field of pharmacogenetics, nutrigenetics, and sports genetics.
